Trajectories of Growth: Somatic Journeys Through the Nervous System with Katherina Taranova

In this workshop, we will explore the nervous system in an embodied way — not as something to analyze from the outside, but as a living process that carries us through life. We’ll look at how it supports us in moving through experiences, and why sometimes it leads to learning and growth 🌱, while other times it leaves us feeling stuck or even traumatized. We’ll use maps of growth that reflect how the nervous system develops, together with just enough theory to understand what’s really happening inside us when life feels like “too much.” What makes this journey special is that we’ll approach it through embodied wisdom. The aim is to discover tools that help you ride the natural rhythms of your nervous system instead of forcing it — to befriend your own process, make sense of it, and use it as a resource. Through various somatic practises such as Feldenkrais, authentic movement, contact improvisation and others, we’ll learn to sense the shifting states of the nervous system and ride its waves with more ease, curiosity, and trust. Kateryna Taranova — somatic educator, Feldenkrais practitioner, Organic Intelligence® coach, and teacher of contact improvisation. Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, she has been providing psychoeducational training for both military personnel and civilians.
