Tri-State Dance Fest 21

Dear Latin Dancers, I am pleased to announce the Tri State Dance Festival, an exciting expansion of the CT Salsa Festival. CT Salsa Festival has been a staple of the tristate area for the past 15 years. The event sparked the unofficial start of the summer showcasing some of the best talent around and a platform for young dancers. All of this was made possible by Lou Lopez who was the founder of the CT Salsa Festival. Lou decided to pass the event on finishing his run as of 2019. Jeff Taveras and Billy Fajardo have joined forces to bring you the Tri-State Dance Festival. We look to unite Salsa Bachata and Hustle dancers within the northeast region bringing you the best instructors and performers from all over the world. Don’t miss this premiere event September 2-6, 2021, at the Hilton in Stamford. Billy Fajardo needs no introduction. He has been an active member of the dance community for over 45 years. He was a director of Dance Dimension and was a choreographer dancer on Ralph Mercado’s iconic concerts during the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. Billy is the founder of the International Hustle Congress and the World Salsa Summit in Miami. The Summit is the most prestigious Salsa Competition in the world. Billy is still touring the world with his partner Ahtoy Wonpat-Borja and his Team Fajardo. Jeff Taveras is the founder of Huracan Dance Company and the owner of Latin Moves Dance Studio in Stamford, CT. He is a 5 time world champion, winning twice in the professional Cha Cha Cha division and 3 times in the salsa teams division. He travels the world teaching and performing at various events and venues. He also continues to compete with his partner Julie Aponte and Huracan Dance Company. “I look to bridge the gap between Connecticut, New York and New Jersey creating the most powerful dance region in the United States”.
