TRIBUTE TO FANIA – 8/15/2026 Join us as we present Orquesta Classica in a tribute to the artists who recorded on the famous FANIA record label. Founded in 1964 in New York City by Johnny Pacheco and Jerry Masucci, they produced some of the most exciting and rhythmic tunes for the listening and dancing public. Experts say that when the Fania All Stars performed at the Cheetah Night Club in 1971, it earmarked the beginning of the Salsa genre. Additionally, the recording of the Fania All Stars Live at Yankee Stadium was inducted into the National Registry of the Library of Congress in 2003. Orquesta Classica has made their mark in SW Florida with their incredible band members whose music is representative of old-school Salsa Dura. They are often sought after for festivals, dances, and night clubs. As a throwback to the heyday of Salsa, their motto is “Old school salsa with a Touch of Class”. Expect to hear music originally popularized by Willie Colon, Ray Barretto, Hector LaVoe, Bobby Valentin, and more.
