Trippin' Blues Friday party w BluesShack

This is the first party of our biennial (every 2 years) Blues dancing festival. We have a staggering 6 nights of parties. On Friday we move into our festival hub, KZ – Kompaszaal in Amsterdam east, and hand the stage to BluesShack. Born in a cozy corner bar, BluesShack has grown into a tight band with three well‑received albums and shows that have already crossed Dutch borders. Their live set drops you straight into smoky old blues and jazz clubs, while keeping one foot firmly in the now, channelling the spirit of Etta James, Willie Dixon and T‑Bone Walker with a modern edge. Let yourself be enchanted by the jazzy‑soul voice of Loes Jongerling and sink into those tasty layers of blues harp, piano and Hammond, guitar, bass and drums. From uplifting shuffles that fill the floor to slow, soulful tunes that wrap around your close embrace, BluesShack know exactly how to build a night dancers don’t want to end. After the first set of BluesShack there will be teachers showcase that we warmly invite you to. Come watch your teachers at their best and cheer them on!
