Liam Large The founder of the influential Jukebox Jam R&B club night and label, Liam Large has also worked for Jazzman Records since the early 2000s contributing to many compilations and re-releases, plus taking regular trips to the US in search of old records alongside Jazzman founder Gerald Short. He DJs regularly in London and around Europe playing across the spectrum of vintage black music – soul, funk, R&B, blues, jazz, reggae, hip hop, Latin, African, Caribbean and more. Steve Rice Steve Rice first discovered Jamaican music growing up in London in the 1960s and has been obsessed ever since - he built his first sound system at school about 50 years ago, and has been buying, collecting, and playing ever since. His 'Downbeat Melody' sound system is a regular around Bristol and places much further afield. John Stapleton John Stapleton is one of Bristol’s longest serving and much-loved DJs. A vinyl obsessive – from West African funk to South African jazz to U.S. funk, with occasional diversions of psychedelia, soul, and rocksteady. Always vinyl, always original, often crackly. Since 2009, he’s also co-run Bristol’s finest vintage record shop – Wanted Records. Boom Operator Hip hop head turned Latin music devotee, Boom Operator (aka Will Em) co-runs the La Bomba club night.
