Twenties Tango to Turkey Trot Sunday 10 May 2pm – 5pm £15/£13 Book here: https://www.brightonfringe.org/whats-on/ragroof-tea-dance-19605/ The legendary Ragroof Tea Dance returns to the Brighton Spiegeltent – a fantastic three hours of dancing delights, featuring a DJ playing authentic music from the 1920s to the 1960s, vintage costumes, glorious dance displays, and mistress of the dance Dorothy’s Shoes’ trademark Instant Dance Classes in a number of popular dance rhythms. No partners needed – Ms Shoes’ unique gender-free approach to partner dancing encourages everyone to take part. On 10 May, we go back to the Roaring Twenties for Twinkle Toes! 20’s Tango to Turkey Trot – a breathless marathon of dance crazes, taking in Charleston, Foxtrot, Twinkle and Peabody along the way. Channel your favourite silent movie star – Valentino, vamp or flapper. Beastly Cads and Bright Young Things (of all ages) very welcome! The themes inform our dance displays and classes, but each dance will also feature a general mix of Ballroom and Latin dance rhythms. Tea will be served to your booths, with luscious cakes on sale – but the bar will also be open for anyone who fancies a crafty tipple.
