The night begins with a culture talk by Tyedric, followed by live music from the quintet co-led by Laura Dooge & Martí Mitjavila. They bring back to life the music of one of the most famous collaborations of jazz history: de timeless recordings that Billie Holiday and Lester Young made together. United in their love for these sweet songs, Dooge and Mitjavila bring you lyrical beauty and virtuosic playing, to the backdrop of an incredibly swinging rhythm section. With some of the finest players of the Dutch jazz scene backing the two soloists, this band will keep you dancing all night to the delightful tunes of the 20’s and 30’s that you know and love.
