This time, our theme revolves around the essence of Peaceful Galaxies, and we have a remarkable treat in store for you – a special class and performance by none other than a very special couple: JULIETA PINHEIRO BARRIONUEVO & ALEJANDRO DEOCCA. This will be their very first performance together in the enchanting city of London and at UN PLACER. The class will delve into the intricate world of CORTES Y QUEBRADAS, a subject in tango that is both fundamental and often overlooked. In 2019 both were part of the jury, as teachers and dancers in The International Summit Festival in Los Angeles CA. The same year they danced with the bandeononist Raul Jaurena at the Astoria in New York. They started dancing together in Paris and touring for several seasons in cities in Europe as Paris, Prague, Lisboa, Warsaw, Rome… Alejandro has performed in the tradicional Tango houses in Buenos Aires as “Piazzolla Tango, El viejo Almacén” between others shows and companies. Julieta has a strong background in the milongas of Buenos Aires and the tango scene in Los Angeles. She started Gimnastic at the Velez Sarsfield Club as a child. She finished the career of Pianist at The conservatoire Santa Cecilia in Argentina and was part of some Cabaret shows in Los Angeles. Alejandro has a background as a musician and composer releasing two albums of alternative music by himself including the tangos: A Roman Polanski and Tango Placebo. Both are diving into a unique tango style based in scene improvisation
