She immigrated to New York from the Balkans as a child and started her musical journey young. Growing up singing in Russian Orthodox churches & teaching herself to play guitar, piano, and songwriting, Szara pulls inspiration from her Eastern European/middle eastern roots and deep reverence towards nature, incorporating vocal sounds from that region. As a dancer, Szara is known for her compelling serpentine isolations and her stage presence and has performed alongside acts such as Troyboi, Desert Dwellers, David Starfire, Shpongle, Clozee, and many more.. performing dance at music festivals such as Eclipse festival, Lightning in a bottle, Envision, Sonic Bloom & Beloved as well as projection mapped performance at Virtual Reality conferences.
