Like the cabin events, we want this social to be a little different. Beyond just being a zouk dance party, Unity socials will seek to:
★ Build connections and friendships
★ Foster a welcoming and safe community, especially for new and/or shy dancers
★ Create an innovative dance space where dancers, DJs, and organizers can try out new ideas for dance socials
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our first social will also feature DJ Rx Zouk, who will be trying out his new concept!
Focus on the flow: Meditation in Motion
Some people achieve meditation from soft soothing sounds, others from the beauty of classical music, and still others from the pulsating textures of trance. The music will feature a rise and fall of hypnotic sounds and blended textures to foster connection and continuous flow through Zouk.

Unity Events LLC
Mission Statement: Unity Events designs and produces thought-provoking, enjoyable, and collaborative experiences for the creative community.
Core Values: Community + Compassion + Connection
Community- We seek to address the needs of the creative community, provide spaces for open communication, convening, and conversation, as well as facilitate positive change.
Compassion- We seek to make a space where people feel comfortable to be themselves. We recognize everyone has a unique story and strive to always show understanding to all. A culture of consent is vital to comfort and safety. Everyone is welcome to opt in or out of any and all activities.
Connection- We believe that partner dancing is not about steps, but about building a connection with your partner, the music, and the other dancers on the floor. The expressive power of dance, and its ability to help us show our authentic selves enables us to build meaningful connections within the dance community.
