About this Event

Join us in a safe, authentic and playful space… To Uplift your body, heart and soul through this playful process integrating the heart opening medicine of cacao and the movement / dance. After sharing our intentions with the cacao and slowly activating the medicine. We continue the journey through a series of exercises as invites people to be curious, playful and also embrace life and reconnect with who they truly are. Facilitated by dance therapist Merielle and global facilitator of transformation Jamezuu. Merriel - Dance therapist As an Artist, Marielle’s passion for creation led her to explore different dance modalities ( ecstatic dance, biodanza, dance therapy, contact improvisation dance) in order to create something powerful called “ Uplifting dance”. Using the medicine of dance and movement, she first initiated the project “ Dance for hope Auckland ”interactive street dance, to bring back the power of dancing authentically and make people reconnect with their body, their essence and each other. As a dance and movement therapist Marielle is currently giving weekly workshops as well as working with different populations. Dance and movement therapy is not doing it right or following choreographies. This is just about expressing yourself through your body, understanding its language and try to unlock its full potential though exploring different ways of moving. The Uplifting dance is based on that. This is not coming from the desire or need to impress; this is about embodying a sense of freedom from within and dance for the simple joy of moving. This is about giving you the permission to be you without a place of judgements. Jamezuu Offering Cacao ceremonies, workshops and retreats around the world over the last 10 years. Jamezuu works with the ancient medicine wheel of transformation integrating the natural elements and the core tools of transformation (breath work, meditation, movement, and sound) to facilitate processes which allow people to reconnect with themselves one another as family and all that exists. To recognize they are safe and free to express themselves in the world and celebrate the gifts that each person brings.
