Uptown Lowdown vintage jazz dance classes

Join the chorus line! The Uptown Lowdown is a vintage jazz dance troupe that learns and performs choreography in the style of 1920s-1940s chorus girls. In this 6-week session, we’ll learn an original routine to the song Tain't Nobody's Business, a jazz standard originally recorded in 1923 by Bessie Smith. After the session, we'll be ready to perform! (While encouraged, performing is not required to take the classes.) Classes are Thursdays from January 10-February 14 Upstairs at BSP. $72 for 6-week session, $20 drop in. (If you want to give the classes a try, come drop in for the first class, and just pay the balance if you want to do the whole session!)
