Monday 21 st November with Moise / Sonny / Chaley / Trudy ������������� �URBAN KIZ DANCE NIGHT � ������������� �Our next weekly dance experience will be Urban Kiz every Monday from 19 th September and thereafter with International Urban Kiz teacher on rotation.. We believe the different dances and teachers allow you to explore your musicality and your own dance styling. Those that have attended our events have experienced and learnt some kuduro, afro house, funana, kizomba and urban kiz so far. Our next event will bring a different teacher with his own personal style for you to experience. ���������������� ���������������� Moise : To follow.... Sonny : SONNY (assisting ) She is the current UK Kizomba Champion, and 3 rd World Kizomba Champions at Africadancar 2015 international Kizomba competition with her dancer partner Jey. ��������������� Sonny is a Kizomba teacher, dancer & performer. French born originally from Cape Verde, grew up dancing Passada, Funana, Kuduro, Mazurka, Coupe Decale and Ndombolo. She has been dancing Kizomba for 7 years and teaching for 5 years. Kizomba is one of the most popular genres of dance and music originating in Angola. Her reasons for teaching Kizomba include “ the passion of the dance, the feeling, the connection, the emotion and how that brings people together in a fun filled environment” Her philosophy about Kizomba : "Kizomba is like having a conversation with two connected bodies,he communicates the movements, she listens and replies" She has discovered Urban Kiz over 3 years ago, She loves any type of dances that allow an artist to grow and be creative. Urban Kiz has a different sytle and allow creativity to flow. She has been helping/assistant French teachers coming to the UK for over the last 6 months. ���������������� Sonny is also director of SVPromotions an event company, that brings to you (Kizomba, Semba, Urban Kiz, Afro beats and more) events, parties, classes, workshop with international & UK artists. www.svpromotions.co.uk Chaley : Chaley is from Congo and live in France Nancy. He has discovered Kizomba in Brazzaville where he fell in love with the dance. After working on his dancing and improve he joined the team with Dim Urban Kiz teacher that trained him, then taught along side him over a year. Curtis was one of his major Inspiration as well as Dim his trainer. Trudy : Trudy started Kizomba at Bird Hill end of 2013 but within a few months discovered the French style of Kizomba and was hooked by the music and the creativity of the moves which were based on fusions from other dance styles. This style is now called Urban Kiz and each teacher has their own flavour and style. She travelled to congresses to take classes with so many different teachers including Enha, Moun, Curtis, Tony Pirata and Sophie, Fred Maestro, Ken Golitin Secret Team and Master Classes with Felicien and Isabelle, Albir and Carola, Morenasso and Anais, Kaem and Marine. As well as learning to follow, she also learnt different teaching techniques for teaching moves,musicality and creativity in the dance. Last year she started leading and having experience as a follower helped make the switch easier, she has learnt a lot of moves over the years and knows how they feel. She now want to share this and her passion for the dance with others.
