Urban Kiz Manchester Present: ☆☆☆ Urban Kiz Night With Ame Dee & Ama ☆☆☆ Music with Sean Wilson Wednesday 11th April 2018 | 8pm-12am Terrace NQ, 43 Thomas Street, Manchester, M4 1NA. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Bio Amédée and Ama Amédée has always been in love with music and African dances, especially N'dombolo, a dance from Congo, where his parents come from. The base of N'dombolo is rhythm, danced with simple steps, punctuated by the music. A N'dombolo step without musical correspondence will lose its meaning. The same philosophy characterizes Amedees way of dancing Kizomba. Amedée started dancing Kizomba in 2010 with George Bitaud and Laura who gave him a solid foundation. After many festivals, many classes and many meetings, especially with GDS Gilles De Sousa, Amédée fine-tuned his dance philosophy. Attracted by the way people dance in Portugal, meeting the couple Ricardo & Paula from Afrolatin Connection revolutionized his dance. But they are not the only ones responsible for his improvement: Ricardo and Paula for musicality, Albir and Sara Lopez for creativity, Victor and Coralie for fluidity. Ama has always been surrounded by music, from playing instruments to singing in a band and most importantly dance! Since she was young dance (ballet/tap/hip hop) has always been in her life in some form. She officially took up dancing salsa in 2014 and only one month later Kizomba took over. Like many Kizomba/Semba/Urban Kiz dancers the thing that she loves most about these dances is the connection you have with your partner and foremost the music. She now teaches Urban Kiz nationally and internationally.
