Urbana Tango Week: Tango Movie Night

Urbana Tango Week kicks off on Monday, July 21 at 8 pm at Gallery Art Bar in downtown Urbana with a showing of "The Hidden Sound of Tango", a 2023 film directed by Yael Szmulewicz. Musician and guitar collector Patricio Crom restores a vintage Boca de Estrella guitar, delving into guitar playing techniques, the craft of building and restoration, and culminating in a performance with top Argentine tango guitarists. Gallery Art Bar is open Monday, July 21 for Tango Movie Night, 7-11 pm. Come early, grab a drink, and hang out after the movie. Join us for music and dancing after the event at Tango in the Lot.
