This popular style emerged in Paris, France, evolving from Kizomba with new music featuring stronger beats that inspired a different musical interpretation. It's known for its unique connection to modern rhythms and has become a beloved global dance phenomenon. This Open Level workshop with Jayde is designed for everyone! New dancers will gain foundational techniques, while more experienced dancers will explore complex patterns, refining their connection and musical interpretation. Our intention is to provide a clear understanding and deep dive into the heart of UrbanKiz. Meet Your Instructor: Jayde Jayde is a professional Dancer, Instructor, and Choreographer with a lifetime of experience, performing with famed dance companies worldwide, as well as on television, in commercials, and theater. While she also dances Salsa, Bachata, and Swing, her heart was truly captured by Kizomba during a 2015 visit to France, leading to a deep love for the UrbanKiz style. She has been teaching and organizing workshops and events since 2017 in diverse cities including LA, Seattle, St. Petersburg, and Tampa.
