☆☆☆ URBAN KIZ SUPERSTAR FROM PARIS ☆☆☆ At KizzArt we don't fail to surprise our lovely students. It's been well noticed that some of you are real Urban Kiz addicts, hence we are treating you to JAZZY CUBANGO, our first SUPERSTAR!!! Note our new BIGGER venue for this special event, at Ruby Blue Bar, in the heart of London, Leicester Square. ☆☆☆ ABOUT URBAN KIZ TEACHERS ☆☆☆ JAZZY CUBANGO & KASIA Jazzy Cubango from Paris is known for his unique teaching abilities and patience. Born in Martinique, Jazzy started to dance Caribbean folklore for various dance groups like "Sun Caraibe" and "Copra", then he moved to the Hip Hop dance scene, and other dance styles like pop, lock, smurf, hype and in particular "Jazz rock" from which he received the nickname Jazzy. For those who didn't know, Jazzy's real name is David. The Kizomba adventure started 6 years ago when Jazzy was touched by the sensuality of this dance and the emotion of the music. Thanks to a YouTube video, Jazzy fell in love with Kwenda Lima dance style and moved to Lisbon to meet and learn Kizomba from his new idol. Multi talented Jazzy Cubango choreographed several shows and performances, and had the opportunity to participate in "Pascal Valot" and the musical "La rue case nègre" at the Palais des Congrès in Paris (one of the greatest Parisian musicals!). Kasia was born in Poland and started as a Prima Ballerina at a very young age and danced ballet for 6 years. As a teenager she moved to Germany where she discovered Hip Hop. She started with “Flying Steps” for 3 years and performed nationally with them. In 2012 she came to the UK and met the famous Salsa and Kizomba teacher Theo Awadzi. Kasia was taught the basics by Neelam Suman & Eddy Vents, and soon after she became Theo’s full time dance partner. Having taught Salsa & Kizomba together at some of the biggest UK festivals, Theo & Kasia became very popular in cities like Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool & Birmingham. In 2013 Kasia had the honour to assist her Semba Guru, DJKS Vasco from Paris. 2014 in Birmingham Kasia met Enah and immediately fell in love with his urban French style. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, Kasia had to stop dancing for at least a year. She returned at the end of 2015 and since her passion for Urban Kiz has never died, this is Kasia’s dedicated style now. Since then she has regularly travelled to Paris and other festivals in Europe. In January 2016 whilst in Paris, Kasia danced the performance of her life and in May 2016 together with Svetlana and Patricia, formed a group called KizzArt. It is her wish to "bring Paris to London", therefore it doesn't come as a surprise that Kasia is the only right partner for Jazzy. ☆☆☆ A little Urban Kiz background ☆☆☆ This is a new style originated primarily in France that soon became extremely popular in the international scene thanks in large part to an incredible number of YouTube videos. It has been called French-style, evolution, new-style, urban, modern, etc. This style is based on Kizomba with an influence of hip-hop, tango, bachata, contemporary and many other dance styles. It is characterized by more linear movement, more frequent syncopation and breaks, and an upright stance than your circular classic Kizomba style. ☆☆☆ OUR CONCEPT ☆☆☆ We are running classes to suit all levels from beginners to advanced. There is no better way to learn quickly than to practice with the best! We would also like to invite dancers with different styles to come, learn, practice and have fun with us! The concept of our events is based on the love of dance and self-expression! We look forward to meeting open minded people who are not afraid to improvise and love fusion.
