USA Open Zouk Competition 2017 - La ZOUK Congress

IT'S TIME TO SHOW US WHAT YOU'VE GOT!!!! 5 years ago we held the first ever Zouk Congress here in the USA and Canada, since then the Brazilian Zouk community has had time to grow, all over the USA, Canada and Hawaii people have fallen in love with the feeling that is ZOUK. We have been blessed with an incredible amount of international and dedicated local talent who continue to pass on their knowledge and expertise to you!!! Now we want YOU to bring it to the 4th Annual U.S. Open Zouk Competition at LA Zouk Congress 2017!!! GRAB YOUR PARTNER AND GET READY TO SHINE!!! HERE'S THE DEAL: There are 2 Divisions: *Amatuer - Student *Semi pro - US teacher with 3 or less years experience in assisting or teaching (non international). RULES: * Perfomances to be no longer than 2 minutes. *Competitors will also be required to show improvised dancing to a slow and fast song. * No lifts. *Competitors will be judged on their Brazilian Zouk moves, technique, diversity , performance ability, stage presence and musicality. *For the amatuers and semi pro division - choreography support from professionals is allowed - although we encourage you to challenge yourself first. JUDGES: Judging will be done by our international artists attending the LA Zouk Congress.
