Vai Brasil! Zouk & Samba Immersion Weekend

The Rio Dancer is coming to the Bay, and he's bringing Brazil with him! Get ready for 8 hours of workshops in zouk and samba de gafieira, as well as 2 parties - all conveniently located in Oakland at Trilliant studios! These courses are open-level and are designed to enhance your zouk knowledge and give you a strong foundation in samba! Schedule: Saturday 1-3 pm - Zouk with Empathy: Connection & Fields of Energy 4-6 pm - Intro to Samba de Gafieira: Foundations and Character 10-3 am - PARTY co-hosted with Dansar! Theme: Vai Brasil Sunday 12-2 pm - Zouk Technique: Head Movement, Turns, & Variations 3-5 pm - Vai Sambar! Movements for Social Dancing 9-1 am - PARTY Theme: Pajamas & Onesies About the Rio Dancer: Joe Ferreira first started dancing at the age of 9, mostly with Brazilian and Latin Styles. Today he has more than 20 years of expertise in dance. He has taught in Brazil, Argentina, and Peru, and up and down the West Coast. His teaching style is extremely detailed and fun! He uses anatomy and knowledge of energy to help you connect with yourself as well as your partner.
