Valdez Spearheads Online West Coast Wednesdays on June 24th

Another month has passed, and we’re still not at the point where we can dance in person…yet! Though we can’t see your smiling faces in person, we think it would be wonderful to see you virtually, and catch up to see/hear what everyone has been up to the last few weeks. With that idea in mind, we’re hosting our second West Coast Wednesdays virtual dance on June 24th! Hosted through Zoom, we’ll run the event as a casual get-together, with a strong focus on catching up, with a few songs thrown in for those who would like to dance a bit. We will be honored to have UCWDC Champion Brittney Valdez join us to kick off the evening with a virtual lesson starting at 7. The evening will run similar to this: – 6:50 PM – Check-In before the lesson – 7:00 PM – We begin with a 30-minute, all-levels lesson with Brittney Valdez (For those in the lessons, please make sure you have your camera turned on so Brittney can see you.) – 7:30 PM – Meet and Greet – We’ll unmute everyone at the end of the lesson to give everyone a chance to say hello, catch up, etc. – 7:35 PM – Open (virtual) dancing begins! We have one song, then chat, tell bad jokes, and catch up a bit, play a song, more bad jokes, etc. and repeat. – 8:30 PM – The party (sadly) ends. Periodically between songs, we’ll be posting trivia questions for you to answer in the chat area, give birthday shout outs, and other things to keep you all engaged and participating.
