VESICA is a Ecstatic Dance DJ based in the SF Bayarea, known for her genre bending transformative dance journeys. VESICA discovered Ecstatic Dance Oakland in 2008, when she was struggling to complete her PhD in Medical Anthropology at Cal, and it’s been essential to her spiritual and embodiment practice ever since. In 2010 she initiated and co-founded Ecstatic Dance Berlin in her native Berlin, where she is a resident DJ and curator of Ecstatic Dance Sundays. Lovingly dubbed the “The Funkiest German” for her love of syncopation, sumptuous bass lines & haunting melodies, she’s touring where she is invited, including Ecstatic Dances in Los Angeles, Moscow, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Helsinki, Bukarest, among many more.
