Vinyl Practica with DJ Post Raphaelite - Celebrating International Day of Tango

For International Day of Tango, held on the birthdays of both Julio DeCaro and Carlos Gardel, DJ Post Raphaelite will present a special mix of tango music focused toward exploring their influence, presented in full vinyl including some rare compilation LP’s. Carlos Gardel, famed tango singer and songwriter, helped popularize tango music worldwide. We will feature several songs written or performed by Gardel as interpreted by a variety of orchestras or groups both Golden Age and later. Julio DeCaro and his sextet wrote and performed music that expanded the musical possibilities of tango music and was widely influential to later orchestras. We will feature some music written by the original DeCaro sextet members as interpreted by members or close collaborators of the sextet. DJ Post Raph will spin 9-11pm, but we'll go later with canned music if the dance floor is still popping. $15 cash Venmo or Zelle at the door
