I. - Video Project II. - Dance Party III. - Logistics I. Video Project For my birthday weekend, I wanted to do something for me. Most videos I create are for other people. This project combines both my love of dance and videography without having a motive other than to create something. I want to make a video as way to practice using my video equipment. My camera, lenses and lights are just sitting around gathering dust and I wanted to have an excuse to use them. The goal is to capture elements of dance of all types in a cinematic fashion. There's no short supply of bachata/salsa/ballroom dancers in my circle... but I want to take it to another level and include EVERYTHING that is dance... belly dancing, pole dancing, hip-hop, twerk, tap, contemporary... EVERYTHING! **If you are coming 100% to do the video shoot, please schedule a time that you plan to arrive*** Clothing: Full costume if you have it. Iron your clothes, do your makeup and attempt to look nice. Avoid stripes, text and logos. II. - Dance Party (Saturday, August 17) DJ Jody smooth will be playing a variety of tracks from bachata/salsa to urban Latin to maybe some ballroom (because it's my bday). Note: I would like more of a "house-party" feel than a "night-at-the-club feel." There will be a ballroom playlist from 700 - 900 (Fox, Waltz, Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Hustle). No cover but donations towards operating costs accepted. No gifts, please; I have everything I want and need; just show up. It's JUST A GUIDELINE and you can arrive whenever you want really as I'll be there literally all day. Parking is plentiful and Free Again, there is NO COVER as it's a party.
