VOCAB DANCE COMPANY & FRIENDS INTENSIVE
Special 'A Diaspora Meets Africa Encounter'
After 3 sold out and successful editions, Alesandra Seutin/Vocab Dance Company (VDC) bring to you 'A Diaspora Meets Africa Encounter' a special edition with the purpose of bringing together dancers who practice different genres, which are rooted in the African heritage (African Contemporary, African, House, Hip Hop, Jazz, Dance Hall, Contemporary styles) to train with teachers who are from the Diaspora or Africa, and who also teach styles/techniques coming from the African heritage (African Contemporary, Hip Hop, Urban Contemporary, House, Jazz styles and Dances from the African continent).
An exciting opportunity to discover the connections between the styles and how they compliment each other but mostly how they are rooted each other. These encounters have for purpose to bring together dancers who may never share the same space because of their practice but who are all connected by the essence of their styles. The Encounters have for aim to enrich all participants training vocabulary and cultural knowledge. Creating connections with Europe, the Diaspora and Africa.
