Vortex Ecstatic Dance - Between the Worlds

🍁💗🍂 Hello dancing family, we are excited to invite you to our November Vortex Ecstatic Dance. This is a magical time of the year when the veil between this world and other worlds is thin, bringing us closer to the mystery. We want to tune playfully into this energy and invite you to come in a costume or mask that will allow you to step further into your expression and play. Some extra masks will be available too. Our circle starts with a cacao ritual to ground and open our hearts. Masha will lead us through a playful warm up, to get our creative energy flowing. Followed by a deeply felt, magical ecstatic journey with DJ Luminus 🎧 This time, we will also have a special guest musician Alejandro Castellano who will infuse our evening by playing oud, nay, guitar, and Arabic percussion. Connect deeper to yourself, to others and to the dance community. Dance with old friends and meet new ones. Newcomers are welcome too. ⭐ Friday, Nov 1 from 7 PM to 10 PM. ⭐ First church, 11 Garden St. in Cambridge ⭐ Admission: $20,- to $25,- (sliding scale ) Tickets: https://qrco.de/bfTWkr We encourage you to buy tickets ahead ( we sold out last time ) Schedule: 7 pm - Door opens 7:15 - Cacao Ritual 7:30 - Warm up 8 pm - Ecstatic Dance 9:40 pm - Soundscape and closing connections 10 ish pm - End Please arrive on time, we close the door for the duration of the cacao ceremony (7:15 - 7:30). We encourage you to buy tickets ahead ( we sold out last time ) 🌿 Our Covid & health policy: if you have any flu like symptoms or test positive for Covid please stay home. Testing for Covid before the event is encouraged, but not required. Anyone is welcome to wear a mask during the dance or use our "dance alone" wristband available at the front desk.
