Most conscious dance floors are predominantly white. Movement Liberation directly supports BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) to participate in workshops and retreats facilitated by Valerie Chafograck and other educators of color. Movement Liberation offers embodied and somatic healing workshops and retreats for people of color. Through mindfulness, somatic and Soul Motion® dance practices, social and racial justice education, and connection with nature, we offer safe spaces in which BIPOC can regenerate their very roots, and cultivate wellbeing and resiliency within a supportive community. Delivering his sound as ritual for enthusiasts of the deep and sacred, Scott seamlessly blends orchestral ambient, psychedelic downtempo, organica & world flavors, and hypnotic tech with shamanic medicine song to transform dark, instrumental harmonies into light. As an accredited 5Rhythms Teacher and seasoned host of Ecstatic Dance – Scott facilitates dances, classes, and workshops all over the world. His offerings and music are an open path to healing and for accessing our fullest capacity as embodied beings. As an Atlanta-based turntablist and deep-music selector – Scott has had the privilege of opening for Techno giants such as Paco Osuna, Tara Brooks, Jade, and Saeed Younan. As creator of the bi-weekly techno podcast series LUNAR EXPRESSIONS starting in 2019, Scott Houston is also a classically-trained musician of 20 years, burgeoning music producer, performance artist, shamanic practitioner, resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance Atlanta, and workshop producer with 5Rhythms Atlanta. www.thescotthouston.com Movement Teacher - Shawnrey Notto I've been practicing and teaching embodiment and pleasure workshops and 1-on-1 (having taught numerous workshops and 1-1s in the areas of sensual massage, dominance and submission, and other things around desire and sensuality that are important, but scary for people). I've been a dancer, performer, and choreographer for 18 years (even got to perform for Justin Timberlake and Madonna!). I have even been an event energizer for conferences (magically getting corporate types, business folks, and even Wisconsin policemen dancing, in their bodies, smiling and connecting). I believe that when we are to our own bodies, power and expression, we are able to share that and give each other permission to also be joyful, connected, and accepted in their expression.
