今年剛好是我們姐妹認識WaiChung滿十週年，2009的他，即使在BA也令人驚艷！這麼多年來，亞洲的探戈節、馬拉松，常常可以見到他充滿音樂性的高超花式，搭配逗趣的表情。跟他跳過的女生，沒有不稱讚的！身為新加坡第一個全職探戈老師的WaiChung，也教出許多好學生，在亞洲都成為知名舞者進而開班授課。想知道他的探戈秘密！台北唯二兩堂團課，不容錯過！ ---- 時間：11/1(週五) 18:30~20:00 舞會前團課-穩定舒服的深擁抱裡的壓縮與能量 地點：Mylonga / 台北市長安西路24號B1（近捷運中山站） 費用：500。參加課程者，舞會皆享半價150！ ---- 時間：11/4(週一) 20:00~21:30 自由腳的帶領與跟隨，花式密技！ 地點：YuStudio / 台北市明德路150巷16號5樓（近捷運明德站） 費用：500。 ---- 私課時段有限，意者請來信洽詢佑檀。 ---- 老師介紹： WaiChung的背景包括現代舞、當代舞和爵士舞、武術、健身。因為在2001年，他幫助一位記者撰寫關於阿根廷探戈的一個報導而愛上了這個舞蹈。 他從2006年開始教授阿根廷探戈，每年都會前往布宜諾斯艾利斯進修數個月。他不只學習舞蹈、舞會文化，也向頂尖大師學習教學技巧。因為與當地人來往密切，以及流利的西班牙語，他很快被暱稱為“Juancho”。 WaiChung是少數深知傳統探戈沙龍、Milonguero和新探戈的舞者。他的舞蹈被形容為優雅、逗趣、柔軟、乾淨，以及音樂性無限。 他曾經在無數個新加坡的活動中表演，也在阿根廷 (知名的Salon Canning!)、澳洲、馬來西亞和越南表演過。 他目前固定在新加坡的兩間教室教學: 流明間(The Lumen Room)和在荷蘭村的與探戈(yTango)。 Ng Wai Chung WaiChung's background includes Modern, Contemporary and Jazz dance as well as martial arts and gymnastics. In 2001, while accompanying a reporter to cover a story on Argentine Tango, he fell in love with the dance. Since he started teaching Argentine Tango professionally in 2006, he has devoted a few months every year to train in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He spends time learning not just the dance and the culture of the milongas, but also how to teach better from the world’s top tango maestros. Popular with the locals and being a fluent speaker of the Argentine language, WaiChung was soon given the phonetic nickname “Juancho”. WaiChung is one of the few dancers with an intimate understanding of both the traditional styles of Tango Salon and Milonguero, as well as Tango Nuevo. His dancing is described as elegant, playful, soft, clean and musically expressive. He has performed at numerous events in Singapore where he is currently based, as well as in Argentina (including the famous Salon Canning in Buenos Aires), Australia, Malaysia and Vietnam. In Singapore, he teaches out of 2 studios, The Lumen Room and yTango in Holland Village.
