Warwick University Tango Mini-Festival

Warwick Argentine Tango Society and Tango Warwick invite you to a mini Tango Festival scheduled to take place between 5th - 6th March 2020. We will have the honour of having with us the Argentinian Tango teachers and dancers, Diego Denett, coming all the way from Rome, along with Cintia Morea who has been teaching for years at Warwick University. Programme: Thursday 5/03: -19.00-20:30 hrs :'Sequences & Sacadas' workshop by Diego and Cintia. -20:30-22:00 hrs: Practica with Dj Dawid Polak. Venue: Flexigrid, Rootes Building,University of Warwick. Friday 6/03: -20:00-21:00: 'Zamba Argentina' workshop by Diego. -21:00-01:00: Grande Milonga with Group Performance by students. Venue: Warwick Space. Saturday 7/03: -10:30-12:00: 'Circular movements' workshop by Diego and Cintia. Venue: Warwick Student Union Atrium, University of Warwick. -12:30-14:30: Social Lunch at Varsity Restaurant, Gibbet Hill Road. Please note that the University of Warwick is on the outskirts of Coventry, while Warwick town is fairly far away. * Arriving by coach * We advise you to take a coach to Pool Meadow bus station in Coventry. Buses regularly depart from the station to the University. The 12X and U12 are direct lines to the University's Bus Interchange and are shorter than the 11 which also arrives at the Bus Interchange. * Arriving by train * There are three optimal stations for arriving by train. The station of Canley is located about 20 minutes by foot from campus and can be easily reached by rail from Birmingham. Otherwise, you can arrive at the train station in Leamington Spa and take a U1, U2 or 11 to the University. Finally, you may also choose to arrive at Coventry train station, where you can also catch any of the three buses listed in the Arriving by coach section. 𝑫𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒘𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝑺𝑷𝑨𝑪𝑬: Warwick SPACE is on the north side of the main road north of the river between Leamington and Warwick. Next to the Millwright Arms now called "The Black Pug" and almost opposite a Sainsbury local. The floor is very nice, the acoustics, great. Parking is plentiful around the venue in residential areas, or on the main road, but do not park on the pub next door or in Sainsbury’s – people have been known to be fined there!
