About this Event
Water / Earth Contact- Caribe Costa Rica
Welcome to the 2nd edition in the beautiful beaches of the Costa Rican Caribbean area, a region surrounded by forest, clear warm water, biodiversity, super chill vibes and a laid back atmosphere. This year we have 4 facilitators Andrea Scheel (Mexico), Dan Springer (USA), Lucy Leiva (Costa Rica) and Lau Cruz (Costa Rica)
A 6 days immersion in the art of touch, bodywork, contemplative dance, somatics, performative labs and contact improv in studio, on water and in nature,
All the classes and intensives are a complement of the other to allow a deeper awareness of oneself while dancing with others and the environment.
The journey starts with an encounter to reflect on the different layers of touch as a fundamental act for well being, shared from a somatics perspective, followed by a Craneo Sacral Intensive to work on the hands on another body and practice subtle touch.
Our bodies contain encrypted memories of our ancestral origins that can be embodied and expressed through embodied experiences as proposed in the 7 Basic Neurocellular patterns on earth and water Intensive, the different body systems can beautifully dance in an organic way, our inner waters in harmony.
To continue deppening in the subject of touch there will be a translation of Thai massage to contact improv and the use of thai massage to contact in water as well.
The last part of this encounter will be focused on eco performative explorations in different landscapes: forest, shore, trails to end this edition with the projection of underwater dance videos.
