WCS (& MJ) June Dance Party

Join us for a boogie to celebrate and raise money for Mana Tipua! This dance party is a chance for the WCS and MJ whānau to come together, show solidarity, and have an awesome time on the d-floor. Mana Tipua is a kaupapa Māori organisation that supports rangatahi takatāpui - young people who are both Māori and LGBTI+. They provide one-on-one support and run social groups to connect these rangatahi with their culture, language, and peers. This is the first of hopefully many events brought to you by the Party Planning People! Supported by our great benefactor, our dance parties focus on raising money for worthy Aotearoa charities. Where: Evolve Studio 1 Cost: Free! Koha towards Mana Tipua is appreciated. Tunes: WCS and MJ-friendly tracks spun by local DJs, featuring a special one-hour set by DJ MSG: EXTRA SPICY. Dress Code: "Show us your most colourful self!" A prize pack will be awarded to the best dressed, as voted by the Party Planning People. Go wild and embody the theme - just keep it respectful of everyone's comfort levels. If you wouldn't wear it out and about in normal life, save it for another day... just make it louder!
