Hugo Miguez & Stacy Kay Dance Professionals are thrilled to bring you West Coast swing every Tuesday at 7PM at Ballroom 66, next to Astro Skate! It's #SpotlightNight + Pot Luck!! Or should we just go and call it #SpotLuck? ;) Everyone is always itching for a chance to prepare for a Spotlight and here it is! We are accepting sign-ups NOW, so don't miss your chance to wow the audience! This night is all about ENERGY and POSITIVITY, complete with a POT LUCK. The show starts at 9PM so invite your mom, dad, friends and family dog, this is going to be uplifting night of dancing! *Side dishes and Desserts are preferred for the pot luck. **Spotlight Dances are 1:30 each (Complete show 30 min) ***Enjoy two levels of classes both beginning at 7PM: Beginner 101 Progressive 10-week Course: On one side of the floor, join John Penu and Ariel Penu! Begin your journey to becoming a brilliant West Coast Swing social dancer through a 10-week progressive course, and you’ll learn everything you need! Including the Sugar Push, Starter Step, Tuck Turn, Left-Side & Underarm Passes and Whip. We want anyone new or existing, who struggles with the bassics, to develop solid basics, focus, commitment, and improvement. This is structured for any newbie or newcomer dancer. You can only sign up at the beginning of the series. The series starts/repeats on Nov 8th, ect. 101 Progressive Syllabus: Week 1 // Starter Step & Throwout Week 2 // Left Side & Underarm Passes Week 3 // Sugar Push Week 4 // Sugar Tuck Week 5 // REVIEW Week 6 // Left Side & Underarm Passes Week 7 // Wrap-In/Wrap-Out Week 8 // Right Side Pass & Whip Week 9 // Dec 4th - Basket Week 10// REVIEW Move of the Night Class: On the other side of the floor join Hugo Miguez and Stacy Kay for the intermediate “Move of the Night”! This drop-in class is designed for both social and competitive dancers looking to expand their toolbox with a small dose of technique! The moves are structured around the basic founding patterns of west coast swing. We will quickly test you on the core move (push, pass, whip, ect.) to make sure you can/should be in this class, or the beginner class. Then let the fun move-construction begin! Schedule: 7:00 – 8:00 Beginner and Intermediate Classes 8:00 – 11:00 Social dance! Cost: 101 Progressive 10-wk Course (and social) - Drop-in: $15 - Progressive Pass: $100 (or two $50 pymts) Int. Third Tuesday of the month come out for #JackNJillNight! Participate in our $1 Jack & Jill competitions with Newcomer and Open Divisions! The top 3 places in both divisions receive prizes! Register by 8:45, Competition will begin at 9:00 Fourth Tuesday of the month is #GuysNight! Call up your fellas because the boys get in FREE TONIGHT! Complete with a ladies choice hour to make our leaders feel all the love! Fifth Tuesday of the month is #BYOBNight!! This is the night to share your love of dance and just how good of a time you have at #WCSTuesday with all your friends! Bring a beginner and BOTH of you get in FREE for the entire night!
