Join as we welcome back the re-emergence of Dance Church aka Sacred Sundays, now to be known as We Dance! Held at Odd Fellows Lodge in Nevada City, CA. What do We Dance for? We Dance for something new every Sunday! We Dance for... Our Rights Protecting the Sacred Inclusivity Fun! And the list goes on and on! This is a women lead collaboration between Wendy Phares, Nicole Franco, Magdelion Moondrop and Katherine Dessert. We are so stoked to have our dear brother Dar and our beloved Neema Star christening the space! This is going to be an extra special beginning to the creation of this ongoing safe sacred space for our community to be together in Practice, Purpose and Dance. We are excited to offer juicy classes, councils, skills shares and action days to kick off our mornings! This time you can look forward to.. Opening 11-11:11am Cacao Ceremony with Neema 11:11-11:30am Dance with Dar 11:30-1:30pm Sound Healing 1:30-1:45pm Dar Sernoff is a seasoned, intuitive, and diverse ecstatic dance DJ. He brings his arsenal of immersive sounds from all around the globe and quintessential mixing skills to move people in powerful ways across various dancefloors. Currently living and creating in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, he is coming to Nevada City to share potent sounds and rhythms from the land of the volcanos. Dar is the main curator behind @Living Prism & @InSpirit events. She facilitates transformational experiences using various modalities, including yoga, dance, guided meditations, cacao and mushroom activations. She has sat in ceremony with elders of various indigenous traditions, visited cacao farms across Central America, and worked with cacao as medicine for 6 years. She facilitates cacao medicine journey’s in various settings including retreats, large group festival ceremonies and intimate ritual circles. Cacao has become part of her, radiating through her skin and speaking through her heart.
