Weekend Pablo & Sofia I Apero Tango I Milonga with Tangótica

In collaboration with World Dance Company who is co-hosting the event. We got great inspiration from them and it is with great pleasure that we receive the visit of one of our favourite couple of maestros: Pablo Inza and Sofia Saborido. For more information about this amazing couple, please scroll down. They designed two seminars, specially for you. Note: a seminar is a serie of workshops built upon each other. This format allows a deep, continuous learning and it is the reason why the workshops can't be attended independently. ....................................... SEMINARS - FULLY BOOKED ........................ Seminar 1 - 6 hours of classes + 1h practica for eager beginners / dedicated intermediates : A special seminar designed to mix some basic technique, connection with the partner, musicality and cool easy moves for the dance floor. We will mainly work with tango but we will also approach the milonga rhythm. Thursday 18.00-20.00 + practica from 20.00 to 21.00 (at Dalheimers hus, Slottsskogsgatan 12, Second floor - Hultbergsalen) Friday 18.00-20.00 at Oceanen Saturday 12.00-14.00 at Oceanen 16 couples maximum Seminar 2 - 6 hours classes for dedicated intermediates / wise advanced: This seminar will focus on a selection of topics oriented to improve the experience of the dance. We will work on: - The comfort in the embrace using rolling and the changes of body placements according to different needs, deep technique for a better connection. - Musicality - When and how to use "La Pausa”, the art of dancing without moving. - Play with the adornos as a dialogue between the dancers. All the classes will be held at World Dance Company, Oceanen, Stigbergstorget 8, except of Thursday workshop and practica which will be at Dalheimers hus, Slottsskogsgatan 12, Second floor - Hultbergsalen. Who is eager beginner? You attended one to three terms of classes. You are motivated to learn and burning to feel comfortable at the milonga. Who is dedicated intermediate? You've been taking classes for at least 2 years and you practice/dance regularly. You want to improve your self-confidence on the dance floor (seminar 1) and/or explore deeper knowledge (seminar 2). You've been around the social dance floor for some time and you are seeking for tools to develop your own dance, beyond the steps. We will do our best to find a partner if you sign-up alone. More about Pablo & Sofia: After decades of teaching and performing around the globe in the most important tango festivals Pablo and Sofia became an international point of reference in the tango scene. Their professional path made of back and forth trips between Argentina and the rest of the world as well as their expert point of view about the dance are widely appreciated in the tango communities. Refined pedagogues, performers, choreographs, actors, etc Pablo and Sofia are two accomplished artists who partnered in 2013 creating one of the most renowned couples that Argentin tango presently has. Sofia Saborido (Argentine) A delicate yet intense dancer, Sofia has a extensive background in theatre, ballet, modern and jazz dance. The deep musicality and quality of movement in her dancing is based on a refined and sensitive connection. Being the great grand daughter of Enrique Saborido, a legendary dancer, musician and composer of tangos like La Morocha, Felicia and others, she was literally born with tango in her veins. In 2006 she won the fourth place in the tango championship of Buenos Aires. Since then she dedicates her time on teaching and performing mainly in Europe but also in United States, Australia and Asia. Pablo Inza (Argentine) is considered by many to be one of the present day tango scene's most influential figures and has won respect worldwide for his innovative and creative style. Pablo's personal style is rich in contrasting dynamics and playful musicality. Frequently invited to some of the largest tango festivals in Europe and North America, Pablo has been teaching and performing around the world since 1999. An excellent teacher with a great capacity for analysis and an innate sense of musicality, Pablo's classes are popular amongst dancers of all levels.
