Weekend workshop with Sebas 23+24 July in Amsterdam

The touch Underneath Learning to integrate some basic contact-impro techniques in the flow of your dance Sebas and Franca dancing (c) Weekend workshop in Amsterdam. This workshop will focus on various Contact-Impro aspects, such as easy rolling, little lifts, navigating around & over a partner, balancing & falling together, following & guiding, etc. In CI, under the techniques there is a deep layer of embodied sensing. The subtle sensing and communicating through the touch is what makes contact improvisation such a rich dance experience. This embodied sensing will be the starting point of our dancing days, bringing us gradually from body awareness to the more technical stuff. We will learn how to integrate this, so that we can grow from forms and exercises to a joyful flow of dancing. These workshops with Sebas will take everyone a bit further on their journey through the Contact-Impro world. With every level of experience you can learn something new. Bring your own lunch. ● Location: Studio CW.Boost, Marcusstraat 48 (near Amstel-station) Amsterdam ● What to bring: - clothes to move easily; pants with long legs, without zippers/buttons/etc.; Slippery clothes are not so handy, as your partners will slide off of you in dancing. - bring enough T-shirts, especially if you sweat easily, your partners will love you for that. - water bottle and your lunch - knee-pads if you have. He uses images from nature and anatomy, looking for the musicality and poetry in the movement. He has been dancing and teaching Contact-Impro for more than 20 years.
