Weekly Bachata Training Class with Lucy and Slava, Director of Mi Esencia Seattle: This class is designed as a training class for Mi Esencia team members. We have opened it to the public for dancers who are serious about improving their own dancing. This is a class is for you if you are interested in joining our team next season, or if you simply want to improve your bachata vocabulary, body movement, inspiration and individual style. Our classes take a fresh new look at fundamental bachata movement and techniques focusing on body isolation, footwork drills, partner work fundamentals and styling that you can bring onto the dance floor in partnership or in solo shines. Each of our session is unique and focuses on a different topic in Bachata. This is our fourth session and it starts off with bachata movement fundamentals such as hip rotation and body rolls. We will also have a special workshop with Roxy Vega and Jesus Doza (from Tijuana Mexico) on Feb 27. Roxy Vega is a world bachata champion with titles in solo, duet and group bachata competitions. Her unique, passionate and fierce style is captivating to watch and a joy to learn from. In addition to her own studio, ladies team, duet partnership, Roxy is the director of Mi Esencia Seattle, with Lucy and Slava as local directors.
