Weekly Contact Improv Jam

All levels welcome This is an open practice for playfully experimenting with the forces of nature through moving our bodies. Contact improvisation is a post modern dance Pioneered in the 70’s by Steve Paxton, Needa Little, Carl Young and the numerous other curious dancers that accompanied the original inquiries of movement. This dance form is continuously growing without finding a finish or point of completion. This is a safe and consensual space welcome to all bodies and experience levels. You do not need any background in dance or movement to do this and all ability levels are capable of this form. There is an optional into to CI (contact improv) in the first thirty minutes after the opening circle at 7:30, then an open Jam until 9:00 Donation of $5-$10 for the space please.
