WELCOMING AUTUMN: Letting go.... through dance & life. (Italian version below) OCTOBER 18-20 Montauto, Toscana, Italy NATURE, THERMAL WATERS & DANCE Immersed in the forest and in consonance with Natures cycle, we will focus on the experience of letting go in our physical movement and personal lives. We will also experience this in the thermal waters of Terme San Giovanni Rapolano In physical movement terms, we can associate “letting go” with different bio mechanical concepts: tension and relaxation, structure and flow, grounding and dynamics, acceptance and rejection, centrifugal and centripetal forces, spiral dynamics. The same paired concepts will be associated with the nature around us, in water and within us. We will then playfully apply these principles to and through a mix of dances and movement disciplines: Contact Improvisation, tango, fusion dance, tai chi, play fight, aquadance and somatics. We will relate these movement principles to our own everyday life deriving from them possibilities of resilience, flexibility and longevity. In this way, our movement, dances, inmersed in nature, in water and shared with others, can derive a fruitful inner clarity. This workshop is open to people of all levels of experiences interested in movement creation as a path of knowledge, healing, communication and personal enrichment. Dance jams, cooking, relaxing in water and wondering together in nature, will offer us plenty possibilities to get in touch in a moving way with ourselves and others. FOOD COSTS & PREPARATION: The wide Montauto professional kitchen will be available for us to use for a minimum weekend contribution ( between 100E to 150E for the whole group & weekend). We will cook and do shopping together as part of building a community attending to each others need. The costs will be covered by all and we can estimate between 12E to 15E per day. ABOUT THE PLACE Centro Montauto http://www.montauto.it/en/home-3/ is a newly remodelled farmhouse and an integral part of the experience. It lies over a hill surrounded by a forest. It consists of three apartments that can accommodate up to 24 people, the arrangement of each apartment can be modified according to specific needs. It is also possible to stay in the fully equipped camping ground. Plus a professional kitchen, a large communal dining room and a spacious studio. DATES & TIME SCHEDULE: Arrival FRIDAY October 18 from 16hrs onwards. Meeting, lesson & jam: 17.30hrs till 19.30hrs. Dinner after 20hrs. SATURDAY 19th: Lesson 10-13hrs. Lunch break. Lesson 15.30 - 17.30hrs. Dance into jamming: 17.30 - 19hrs. Early Dinner. From 20.30 till 22.30: Warm water pool SUNDAY 20th: Lesson from 10 to 13hrs. Goodbye circle 13 to 13.30hrs. He has been invited to teach and perform at Fabrik Potsdam Tanztage, Goettingen Contact Impro Festival and Phantastango, Farma Dance Theatre Festival and Alchemie Tango in Prague, C.I.R.A in Strasbourg, as well as to CI Festival San Francisco (USA). He has dedicated himself to researches in anthropological and sociological themes to develop projects in social theatre in Italy, Morocco and Germany. He has collaborated on a research on expression in Contact Improvisation at the Berlin Free University. He has worked as movement advisor for Sickle Cell patients in London Royal Hospital. Through a mix of disciplines that nourish movement diversity, body awareness, consensual touch and creativity, he has created The Ecological Body, with the intention to reconnect with oneself, other beings and the Earth, in an emotional, physical and spiritual way. He defines himself as a movement activist. NATURA, ACQUE TERMALE E DANZA Immersi nella foresta e in sintonia con il ciclo della Natura, ci concentreremo sull'esperienza del 'lasciar andare' nei nostri movimenti e nella nostra vita personale. In termini di movimento fisico, possiamo associare il "lasciar andare" a diversi concetti biomeccanici: tensione e rilassamento, struttura e flusso, radicamento e dinamica, accettazione e rifiuto, forze centrifughe e centripete, dinamiche a spirale. Gli stessi concetti abbinati saranno associati alla natura che ci circonda, nell'acqua e dentro di noi. Applicheremo quindi in modo giocoso questi principi a e attraverso un mix di danze e discipline del movimento: Contact Improvisation, tango, fusion dance, tai chi, play fight, aquadance e somatica. Metteremo in relazione questi principi del movimento con la nostra vita quotidiana ricavandone possibilità di resilienza, flessibilità e longevità. In questo modo, il nostro movimento, le nostre danze, immersi nella natura, nell'acqua e condivisi con gli altri, possono trarre una fruttuosa chiarezza interiore. Sperimenteremo tutto questo anche nelle acque termali delle Terme di San Giovanni a Rapolano. Questo workshop è aperto a persone di tutti i livelli di esperienza interessate alla creazione del movimento come percorso di conoscenza, guarigione, comunicazione e arricchimento personale. Jam di danza, cucina insieme, relax in acqua e immersione nella natura, ci offriranno numerose possibilità di entrare in contatto in modo commovente con noi stessi e con gli altri. COSTI E PREPARAZIONE DEL CIBO: L'ampia cucina professionale di Montauto sarà a nostra disposizione tutto il fine settimana al costo di 100/150 € per l'intero gruppo. Cucineremo e faremo la spesa insieme come parte della costruzione di una comunità che si prende cura delle esigenze degli altri. I costi saranno coperti da tutti e possiamo stimare tra 12E e 15E al giorno. INFORMAZIONI SUL LUOGO Il Centro Montauto http://www.montauto.it/en/home-3/ è una casa colonica recentemente ristrutturata e sarà parte integrante dell'esperienza. Si trova su una collina circondata d’ una foresta. È composto da tre appartamenti che possono ospitare fino a 24 persone. La disposizione di ogni appartamento può essere modificata in base alle esigenze specifiche. È anche possibile soggiornare nel campeggio completamente attrezzato.
