She has worked with many of the top-level dancers internationally and in Australia over the years. This is your chance to absorb some of her wealth of knowledge and take your WCS to the next level. GENERAL INFO Come along for a fun and focused weekend to level up your west coast swing. There is a dedicated session for guided group practice so you can focus on practicing the things you want. The intensive is open to all levels and will be progressive. No need to bring a partner, although we will try and keep the leader/follower ratio as close as possible and waitlist followers if necessary. Please register early to ensure your spot. Limited private lesson spots are available with a non-refundable deposit of $20 required upon booking. Priority is given to those who register and pay for the full weekend, contact us via Messenger or email to book. There is plenty of parking at the venue and a few buses that stop nearby. It is also 15 minutes from the train station. SCHEDULE Saturday 2-5pm : Group practice/critique session Practice with your peers in a safe and supportive environment, and have the opportunity to be critiqued and gain some feedback from Kat and other instructors. 5-7:30pm : Communal dinner at Mario’s Pizza Bar Leichhardt - https://mariospizzabar.com.au/ Just a short walk down the main road, get some food and refreshments and have time to chit chat. 7:30-11:30pm : DANCE PARTY! Dance the night away with your friends :) Sunday Intensive workshops with Kat 1:30-2:30pm : Hour of Power! 2:30-3:00pm : Break/social dancing 3:00-5:00pm : Let's explore! 5:00-6:30pm : Extended social dancing 6:30-whenever : Dinner at the Pub - https://maps.app.goo.gl/buZJufMqJn9cVQYt6 Hour of Power! - will cover all the fundamental concepts and techniques that will set you up for success for the rest of the workshop. If you are new to West Coast Swing (< 6 months) you have the option of just attending the first hour of workshops + half hour social for $25. If you love what you learned in the first hour, then you can choose to continue into the second workshop, just pay the difference of $55. Let's explore! - The remaining 2 hours will be dedicated to expanding on these techniques and applying them to more complex content. For regular attendees, this new format enables smoother progression over the afternoon, and more opportunity to dive deep into the content.
