We’ll kick things off with a 45-minute intro to West Coast Swing – no experience or partner needed, just bring your feet and shoes to dance in! 🕖 When: Tuesday the 17th of June 19.00: WCS Intro Class 19.45–22.00: Social dance party! It originated in the United States, especially California, and is known for: * Elastic connection between partners, with a distinctive "push and pull" feel. * Slot-based movement, where the follower generally moves back and forth along a straight path (the slot), while the leader stays mostly in place or steps out of the way. * Improvisational freedom, especially for the follower, who often has more room to express themselves than in many traditional partner dances. * Musical variety — it can be danced to pop, R&B, blues, funk, and even hip-hop or acoustic covers.
