Are you ready to kick off the semester with a new wacky family of friends? Then come right down to West Philly Swingers' Spring Auditions! 💃 🕺 NO EXPERIENCE OR PARTNER REQUIRED 💃 🕺 We'll give you a lesson on everything you need to know. We'll even have some of our alumni come back to help us teach you and share their experiences with you! 💃 🕺 DETAILS💃 🕺 Auditions will be in person and most likely in Platt 179! Click GOING to our event to get notified about updates 🙂 Join us on February 5th from 2:00PM to 4:30PM for a great time! *** This lesson will be on the very fundamentals of the Lindy Hop, a partnered dance originating out of the African American community in 1920's Harlem with the rise of swing/jazz music. Nowadays, it can be found all over the world, with particularly vibrant communities in places like Sweden, South Korea, and of course, the USA. Characterized by a lively bounce in step and rampant improvisation in every dance, there isn't a better way to get your cardio in! If you wish to audition but have other prior commitments/concerns, please message West Philly Swingers and we'll see what we can do!
