Weekly West Coast Swing at Creative Dance Collective in Mesa! A wholly collaborative community effort hosted by Joe Herrington and Drew Mitchell, DM to get involved. Format: Class $10 - Social $10 ($15 for both) (Cash/Venmo/Zelle only please) Spotlight Practice free w/either Happy Hour $2 Off Drinks 6:30 Class – BeginnerMediate – Beginner friendly with Intermediate level concepts and options (Check back as this may expand). 7:30 “Spotlight Happy Hour!” - Full on mock Spotlight Practice. We recreate the experience of competing in a J&J spotlight final, just as it would be at competition – complete with local pro judges and feedback (if wanted). Great opportunity to prepare and practice, especially if you’ve never been center stage with “all eyes on you” - don’t let your first time happen at convention! (Limit 24 dancers - 12 Leads, 12 Follows. DM to reserve a spot, or if you want to join the judges panel) And if you’re not a competitor, join us for Happy Hour ($2 off Drinks, 7:30-8:30) and enjoy the show! Our friends need an audience to practice in front of, so come hang out and have fun! 8-11:30pm Social Dance – our goal is to satisfy and delight with the music, while providing opportunities for all our local Djs, and consistently making use of the community requests - covering all genres and styles that contribute to the full experience of West Coast Swing - with a mix of old and new and a focus toward what’s currently happening on the convention circuit.
