What do I see when I don’t see?

It’s about Meeting each other away from social Conditioning and closer to the truth of the here and now. For that we invite you to join some embodied proposition that will take you far from your common relating patterns. It’s about togetherness, trust, undoing, not knowing. We will work with blindfolded scores, sensorial lunch meal, blind contact jam and authentic movement. We will follow a rhythm of practicing and then sharing We don’t know what we’re going to find. We know that we transition into a space of expansion of the possibilities. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Facilitators: Irene cannot imagine a time when she has not had a love of dance. She started to dance Catalan folk dances at the age of seven for 10 years. As an adult, she felt the need for more freedom and creativity in her dance. Moving to Mallorca six years ago, she started to dance Contact Improvisation and Body Weather regularly. At the same time, she studied Integrative Body Therapy for three years. Later, she moved to SerVivo, a dance community in Portugal where she continued her movement journey. Over the last two years she has immersed herself in a deep practice of CI through being involved in many residences organized by “Towards - Centre for the practice and research of Contact Improvisation” in Thailand, learning from teachers such as Sasha Dodo, Dolores Dewhurst Marks, Anjelika Doniy and Ekaterina Basalaeva. Irene is also an Osteothai massage therapist and a filmmaker specializing in dance film. Nirvan (1978, Portugal), is a man formally educated as a visual artist. He’s been dedicated to the practice of Contact Improvisation since 2012. The love for dance, movement and improvised practices arrived in 2012 and is evergrowing. He has been exploring many different practices and arts for the past two decades: participating in literary projects; working as a free lance artist, as a masseur and as an aquatic bodyworker. For the last four years he became interested in the field of performance through the practice of Real Time Composition. He is also currently studying and sharing the principles of the And_Lab, a platform of research for the study of the And methodology. --------------------------------------------------------------- This laboratory is open to everyone who is curious and willing to explore new ways of being.
