Register online for a $10 discount. Not joining us for classes? Then we can't wait to see you on the dance floor at 9:30pm! <3 Level Checks at 7:00pm *sharp* If you haven't taken classes with us and you'd like to skip a Level, please arrive at 7:00pm sharp for our Level Checks. You'll dance with an instructor who will then tell you which level is the best fit. Rotating Class: Solo Jazz at 8:30pm SLOW SOLO JAZZ with Finn I. DeLacey Kupel and Amanda Collins Dive into a new way of moving with Finn and Amanda’s Slow Solo Jazz class! If you’ve ever wondered what to do when a slow, bluesy song comes on at a dance, this class is for you! If you’re looking for ways to expand your solo jazz technique and repertoire, this class is for you! Plus, learning to move your own body slow, will help your partner dancing as well. All levels are welcome in this fun and challenging class! Level 3B: Musicality at 7:20pm (yes, last month was called Musicality too but it really was a Grab Bag of different topics - this month has the overall month-long theme of Musicality) LET'S GET MOODY with Calvin Lu and Hannah MacKenzie-Margulies Some swing songs are joyful and bouncy, others are sassy or even somber. Learning to reflect these differences in our dancing is a great way to connect to the music in a whole new way. Join Hannah and Calvin this month to get in touch with our moodiest selves. We'll practice identifying the mood of a song, adapting our steps to fit that mood, and following the changes in that mood as the song progresses. We'll learn how to express moods in our dancing as individual followers and leaders as well as how to negotiate mood changes as a partnership. Level 2C at 8:30pm CHARLESTON with Jessica King and Iris Dolowitz Tarou Not only will we hone our Charleston technique in this class but we'll also learn a number of Charleston variations. Jessica and Iris will guide you in mixing your Charleston into social dancing - giving you specific ways to transition between your 8-count, 6-count, and Charleston rhythms. Level 1A at 7:20pm Learn the Basics! with Jessica King and Iris Tarou In this class you'll learn two basic rhythms (6-Count and 8-Count) along with a variety of variations to get you having fun on the social dance floor! Level 1B at 8:30 Learn the Basics! with Calvin and Hannah MM In this class you'll learn two basic rhythms (8-Count and Charleston) along with a variety of variations to get you having fun on the social dance floor! Taster Class at 9:30pm-10:00pm If you're wanting to drop-in for just one evening, this Taster Class is for you! Get a taste of Lindy Hop - enough to have some fun while staying safe on the dance floor.
