It wouldn’t be 10 years of Christmas at the Spiegeltent without the infamous night, White Mink, a roaring night of re-imagined 1920s music! The curators at White Mink HQ have whirled up a line up perfect for a roaring night in the heart of Bristol. Dust off those feather boas, polish up those spats, don your finest 1920s garb and be prepared to Swing the night away. We’re going to be bringing you the sounds of days gone by, reinvigorated for the new roaring twenties. Brass meets bass, Swing meets synth and decadence meets dance! Fantastic line up to be announced very soon, you can expect some of the hottest acts remixing those vintage sounds, complimented by traditional toe tapping, hip popping, tail feather shaking acts to be boot. Please be aware this is one of our most popular events and it’s best not to sleep on tickets for this one. ▼▼▼ LINE UP ▼▼▼ ▼ Elle And The Pocket Belles ▼ Vintage inspired, these beauties simply sizzle on stage performing original songs; putting their own swinging spin on contemporary hits; as well as singing classic jazz and swing numbers from the 1930's right through to the 1950's. The statuesque Elle and her pint-sized Belles perfectly embody the class and glamour of this Golden era; and are sure to get any audience toe tapping and 'in the mood'. ▼ Natty Congeroo and The Flames of Rhythm ▼ The Flames have gained a reputation as a top festival/party Swing band for their high-energy performances and immersive crowd experiences. The repertoire of the band made up of tight original numbers, with a selection of and explosive interpretations of classic Hot Jazz, Swing, Rhythm ’n’ Blues and Gospel numbers included from the golden era of this music in the 1930’s-40’s. As well as a reputation for a hot authentic sound the band is well known for its unique sense of style and presentation with its members dressed to the nines in sharp and eccentric tailored vintage attire. The band is led by the legendary showman Natty Congeroo; a popular, stylish and flamboyant Singer/ Dancer/DJ and all round Hep Cat who has been performing at the top of his game for many years. The players provide unrivalled levels of excitement and astonishing musical skill that is an explosive mix once the show gets started. ▼ Mr Fitz ▼ Mixing,Chopping and Cutting up Hip-hop, funk, swing and everything in-between from Jazz to bassy breaks and DnB Mr Fitz has held down many residencies at bars and clubs within Bristol and recently emerged on the festival scene playing at Shambala, Boomtown, Beat-herder and Secret Garden Party to name a few. Representing labels such as swing & Bass and Cuttin it fine. Mr Fitz can put down anything from a laidback l’ambiance to a partyrocking set. ▼ Chris Tofu MBE ▼ The outright King of the Electro Swing, the master of Vintage Remix, the inventor and Swing n Bass, there's no party starter better than this hero of the scene. Other entertainment on the night can be found in the form of knife throwing, comedy and bottle top ballet from Le'Cliquettes as well as Lindy Hop and dance battles from Swing Dance Bristol.
