This is the second of just three milongas I am running this year at Beeston Parish Church for sublime bank holiday afternoons of tango. The church is a gorgeous place to dance and this one will have TDJ Andy Adamson making the selections so expect a fully danceable and tasteful set with interesting musicality. The teachers will be the fabulous and highly experienced Pablo Nievas and Florencia Fraschina who will be teaching a group class at 2pm - it is aimed at intermediate/advanced level dancers and is a drop in class with no need to book. Pablo was recently recognised as an Academico (Maestro) by the National Academy of Tango in Buenos Aires so you will be in good hands. The theme of the lesson will follow. Uninterrupted social dancing to traditional music will follow the class from 3pm to 7pm. There will also be a buffet which is usually very very popular and on a first come first served basis so you will need to be there at 3pm sharp if want to get a look in on the food front; it has largely disappeared by 4pm. The church is 3 miles from J25 of the M1 and there is lots of free parking close by including municipal car parks which are free on bank holidays. It is also walking distance from the Beeston Railway Station which is on the main London mainline and also next to a tram stop which goes all the way to Nottingham Railway Station.
