The course aims at teaching you the essentials of Sensual Bachata regardless whether you are a beginner, an improver or intermediate you will find it very informative and packed with great tips. It will help you learn the correct technique, preparation and execution of the dips, waves, turns, body isolations, musicality and much more. It will help you learn and understand the essential moves and how to play with musicality to learn and improve your bachata sensual like never before. All moves we teach are leadable - we teach you the principles of following and leading, nothing is choreographed - we want you to become a fantastic social dancer :) You will learn: - basic steps, moves, technique and principles of sensual bachata - body isolation, dips, waves - fun and easy to lead moves - musicality - how to interact with the music - men's and ladies' styling - how to connect with your partner and really enjoy your social dancing. No partner or previous dancing experience required - open level class. Just come along and have some fun :) WHAT IS IT SENSUAL BACHATA? Sensual bachata was created in Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain, by Korke Escalona and Judith Cordero. Korke learned the basics of bachata in 1998; then he started developing his own dance style by understanding how the leader (traditionally a man) could lead the body of the follower (traditionally a woman) to interpret the music. Sensual bachata is an independent dance form with strict lead and follow principles. The dance is an interpretation of the music with mostly circular movements and body waves. When the music has stronger beats, however, the dance also uses isolations and dips. ABOUT US: Jan Tabaka is a fitness trainer and Thai yoga masseuse during the day and latin dancer at night :) Jan has 6yrs of bachata sensual dancing experience following masterclasses of Korke & Judith (creators of bachata sensual) and trained by many other top teachers in the world. His passion for bachata music has lead him to create a very unique never done before Bristol Bachata project in collaboration with Fernando Javier Ania Hernandez (a true Dominican raised in Spain, maestro of bachata in South West) and our beautiful partners Victoria Fletcher (with lifetime dancing experience in ballroom now also an international teacher being an official partner of JOJO Kizomba #letsplaykizomba - one of the best Urbankiz/Kizomba Fusion artists in the world!), Sandra Sanchez Ligero (lifetime experience in dancing flamenco, bachata and kizomba - born and bred in Cadiz, where bachata sensual was created) and Nadia Pro (professional dancer from Italy, you will see her in major carnivals and events throughout the south west). With this crazy combination of Dominican, Spanish, Polish, New Zealand and Italian best teachers we're created something truly amazing and provide regular weekly Monday workshops (unlike anywhere else, so you can practice technical skills of bachata sensual), massive Wednesday Bachateame Bristol Bachata Classes - New Massive Venue nights at Pitcher & Piano Bristol filled with 2hrs of classes at all 3 levels plus social with over 100 ppl each night. We also guest teach at all major events in South West of England and have been invited to guest teach at Bachaddiction Scotland festival in Ednburgh alongside Daniel y Desiree (one of the most famous artists in bachata world).
