Winter Solstice Cacao Ceremony

A warm welcome to our Winter Solstice Ceremony Event. Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year and the pause before the light begins to return for us....leading up to this day you are invited to gather for a magical evening Ceremony of Cacao, Dance and Sound with Lila Lianna Rose and Pixi Pete. This pivotal time of year symbolizes the point of mid winter and is such a potent time for diving deep into the stillness and for setting intention. Within this sweet pause in the darkest half of the year we begin to welcome back the light into our lives, giving thanks to the darkness with all its mystery and lessons. We welcome you to join us and connect deeply with your self, life and the magic. 
While the earth is at her quietest, the branches are bare, we contemplate what it is we want to let go of. As the nights have taken us into the darkest moment of the year and we're deep in hibernation, we welcome the medicine of this unique time and offer our prayers into the scared portal of the Winter Solstice. What to expect: The evening will start with an opening circle to arrive and ground, followed by a beautiful Cacao ceremony with time for intention setting and singing. 
We will then flow into movement, using specially curated live and electronic music to facilitate play, embodied presence and deep letting go, welcoming all of ourselves to the dance floor.
 Then coming to the floor and receiving the medicine of the gong and sacred sound instruments, finally moving in together to complete in a nurturing closing circle. There will be delicious homemade vegan soup and bread to share together and nourish the body before leaving. Our Ceremonial grade cacao is single origion cacao sourced from Ecuador, supplied by the wonderful Deya @Cacao Amor (Ceremonial Grade means extra care is taken in the process of its creation from fermentation to stone grinding it into paste, which ensures that all the beneficial bio-active compounds in the Cacao are optimised and not destroyed for all of its health benefits). She’s passionate about facilitating embodied transformational spaces, working with the power of sacred sound and free movement, voice expression and sacred ceremony. Lila has been holding private and group sessions for over 14 years, in the UK and internationally. These are in the form of sacred sound concerts as one half of the renowned Mantra duo, Illumina- in such venues as ‘Alternatives’ in Piccadilly, Cecil sharp House, and the Royal Academy of Arts amongst others. She’s also held many sacred cacao ceremonies, workshops, gong/sound baths and yoga retreats all over the country and beyond. Having observed a rapid quickening of the Divine Feminine awakening in our world in recent times, Lila has moved into facilitating deep, shamanic, and embodied ceremonial spaces, working with light language, medicine voice & drum and other sacred instruments. She calls on her deep well of intuitive womb wisdom to support the expression, liberation and cultivation of our inherent magic and power. As well as expertly DJing and facilitating ecstatic dance, Peter incorporates his skills as a drummer to add live percussion to his sets; weaving beats and rhythms from a range of percussion instruments and is known for suddenly emerging onto the dance floor with his djembe to really get the crowd going wild. As for his music, Peter is well know for having his finger on the pulse for new and up and up and coming music, seamlessly blending a range of genres and or well known dance tracks, finding remixes and reworks that will pleasantly surprise the audience. Expect soul lifting melodies and deep tribal beats mixed in with some good bass sounds and a splash of nostalgia. Peter plays for festivals and events nationally and internationally and is a resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance U.K, Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Mind body Spirit Festival and Dance Medicine Glastonbury.
