It's thought that on the most auspicious days of the year, like the Winter Solstice, the benefits are enhanced, making this dance not to be missed. And, Winter Solstice, being the shortest day of the year, marks the beginning of the return to the light - yet another powerful reason for dance. So hooray for such a special opportunity to do what we love most on the Winter Solstice at the beautiful Pack Square Park amphitheater, the value of which is to be discovered together on the dance floor! Essentials: - 3:30pm FREE HOT CHAI served to kick things off. Relishing in the value of our connection, with a hot drink in hand, is what this special occasion is all about. We hope you can make it for this opportunity. (bring your own cup if you can:) - Dance 4pm to sunset (5:21pm) - StarTribe dances are rain, snow, or shine! Good forecast for the 21st though! - StarTribe dances are drug and alcohol free. - Bring water! - Reserve your space early! - For children ten and under: Please bring protective ear muffs and keep them with you at all times. - Dress warm! Illusion of Duality Bio: Illusion of Duality can be found somewhere in between the Bass & the Treble. Bridging the gap between electronic and organic, he has been on an ever evolving musical journey to truly discover his sound. Born & raised on the west coast playing strings, percussion & keys Illusion of Duality honed his craft on the decks far before electronic music was popular in the early 2000’s. This alchemical artist uses frequency embedded in a universe of rhythm to navigate between the Darkness & the Light. Many moons of living the nomadic lifestyle have revealed a multitude of music from distant lands. Combining his gifts as a shamanic healer with his masterful musicianship, Jahidi takes us on a rhythmic journey into our innermost essence of being. Weaving soulful grooves and tribal beats with powerful spoken word mantras, Jahidi creates a sacred space for deep transformation and catalyzes unity through rhythm and song.
