Held by clear agreements and made sacred through our shared presence, we gather to feel, move, embody, and express the full range of our humanity. Through dance we're invited to deepen our trust with life and the source of energy that connects all things, allowing us to tend both our own authentic expression and the harmony of the greater ecosystem we’re a part of. Come as you are, dance what's true, and align with the sacred groove that lives and beats within you. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐎𝐟-𝐓𝐡𝐞-𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝: Enjoy one of the highest quality sound systems in the Bay Area (custom-designed for us by Neptune Audio, www.neptune.audio). Housed in the cathedral-shaped dance space of The Inner Sanctum, immerse yourself in pristine sound at every frequency on our dance floor. Facilitated by a seasoned DJ, the dance will guide you through an array of genres, energies, feelings, and emotions; in service to inviting a cathartic experience of aliveness, transformation, and integration. 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The Inner Sanctum in Woodside, CA, is just a 15 minute drive from Alice's Restaurant, and just under one hour from San Francisco and Santa Cruz. No one will be allowed to enter after that. 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭: $25-$125 sliding scale + accommodations We have a sliding scale to facilitate accessibility to individuals across the financial spectrum. No using of phones - let’s be present with what's happening at dance 3. No video or photographs - to honor confidentiality & vulnerable expression 4. No shoes - leave your shoes outside in cubbies next to the front door 5. No substances - let’s allow music and dance to be our natural high 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭: 1. Honor your truth, feelings, & intuition. Move at the pace of your full body yes. 2. If you want to dance with some, approach slowly, without agenda or force, and ensure you get a clear yes from the other(s) before making physical contact. 3. When dancing with another/others, avoid grabbing, grasping, or force, and instead remain curious, present, and co-creative in the interaction. 4. Honor people’s “no”. Do your best not to take things personally. 5. Exit the dance when you want to leave. Respect others choice to so the same. 6. Platonic touch only. We honor aliveness and sensual embodiment, but please channel that energy into connection with Source, and do not engage in sexual touch or contact with yourself or others on the dance floor. 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇 // 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡 is a particular flavor and electronic expression of Arielle Brown’s sonic essence that transmits the depth, grit, sweetness, and multidimensional ecstasy of life. She weaves together musical journeys that transcend genre and instead operate in the realm of vibe, soul, and as described by a fellow dancer…“booty shakin praise music”. Her deepest desire is to play music that activates and enlivens the human spirit; bringing us more deeply into our hearts and bodies so we can remember the innocent and sublime nature of who we truly are. When in doubt, she keeps it sweet like honey, and frothy––because froth makes everything taste better. 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡 was born through Arielle’s unadulterated love, commitment, and respect for the dance community on the Big Island of Hawaii; birthplace of Ecstatic Dance. Dancing multiple times a week as a ritual and communal practice, she realized the undeniable emotional catharsis music and movement can create, and is immeasurably grateful for the ability to curate musical spaces for embodiment, awakening, and aliveness. She holds a BFA in Dance from S.U.N.Y Purchase, and has 2 decades of experience as a movement facilitator. She is well known for her loving approach to yoga that was developed while living and teaching at Harbin Hot Springs and through her mentorship with Angela Farmer. Shannon enjoyed being the manager and sacred space holder for Ecstatic Dance Oakland from 2017-2024. She has studied extensively with many of the early pioneers of Contact Improvisation and loves articulating the mechanics of weight sharing for those unfamiliar with the form. She brings delight to the space with her unique ability to create safety while spicing things up with humor and spontaneity.
