Hola mi gente, We are back at the @guggenheim with @worksandprocess Afro Latin Soul with Sekou McMiller & Friends Show & Rotunda Dance: Salsa Social with Sekou McMiller & Friends and yours truly DJ John John. Gather round the Guggenheim for one-night-only events that start in the theater and culminate in rotunda dance parties with wine reception. See a first look of new works from Afro-Latin dance pioneer powerhouse Sekou McMiller as he explores the jazz and African roots of salsa dance and music. The evening culminates with a salsa lesson and dance party in the rotunda for all. Inspired by the golden age of mambo at the Palladium nightclub in New York City during the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s, Afro Latin Soul weaves together dancers, musicians, and composers to celebrate rhythmic nature and unite interconnected cultures.
